LP Drills are engineered to meet the toughest demands in the field.

Cutting large diameter holes can be a challenge - and the Low Profile Drill series from Center Rock is up to the task. The advanced engineering of LP Drills provides a cost effective solution for drilling and excavation requirements up to 114' in diameter. LP Drills have been used by some of the largest projects to quickly drill holes to the exact size required by their specifications.

LP Drills can be used for the following applications:

  • Horizontal drilling
  • Pilings
  • Caissons
  • Pole holes
  • Footers
  • Rock utility poles
  • Shafts
  • Curtain walls
  • Rescue shafts

Available in standard and custom built sizes from 20 - 114 inches.

LP full face drills range in size from 20' - 78'. While most other cluster drill products top out around this size, Center Rock has developed a two piece system of cluster drills that can open holes to as wide as 114'. These drills come in standard sizes, or we can custom build a drill to your exact specifications.

Hammers fitted with six inch class bits are positioned in a specially designed grid to ensure even cutting across the face of the hole and to promote proper flow of cuttings outward and upward into the kalix basket retainer. For large diameter holes (over 78") a pilot hole is drilled first with a full face LP drill to the desired or target depth, then the larger diameter LP hole opener finishes the hole to the size required. This allows more efficient and faster cutting. LP drills have been used to cut holes up to 200 feet in depth and are designed to reach depths of 500 feet or more.

Low Profile Drills are designed to be maintained in the field and can accommodate the addition or repair of wear plates and filler blocks as needed. We also offer replacement hammer and bits and a specialised LP break out section.

The following hammers are available for rental from Pilequip:

  • LP Drill 24" or 36"
  • LP Drill 36" or 42"
