Bay Shore Systems is committed to solving some of the most difficult drilling challenges faced by contractors throughout the world.  In 1990, Bay Shore Systems introduced the 'LoDril' - an innovative, specialised, low headroom, telescopic Kelly drill attachment that can be mounted on a standard excavator base, to bring unmatched drilling capabilities to a wide variety of demanding drilling conditions.

The LoDril delivers power and versatility not afforded by conventional fixed mast drill rigs or pendulum drills.

  • The LoDril's low profile design (down to 2.7m tall) and telescoping Kelly bars allow you to drill deep (up to 30m) under severe overhead restrictions such as overpasses, overhead power lines, inside factory buildings etc;
  • Because the LoDril is an excavator mounted drilling system, you get greater flexibility, maneuverability and versatility.  The excavator base is easy to transport, easy to self-erect, quick between holes, and efficient over the hole.  The long reach of the excavator boom enables the LoDril to drill on slopes above or below its tracks, over embankments or other obstructions, and can reach into corners not accessible by conventional drill rigs.  The LoDril can drill vertical holes whilst setup on a slope and it doesn't require the same level working platform of conventional drill rigs.  The LoDril also utilises a much smaller footprint than other drill rigs;

  • With a wide range of models from 14kN.m through to 149kN.m of torque, there is a LoDril to meet almost every drilling need.  Your LoDril can be individually customised to suit your requirements - in terms of height restrictions; drilling depth; hole diameter; and soil material being drilled.
